Felipe Gumucio was named executive vice president of Business Ventures and Chief Legal Officer for Bell Helicopter in September 2006, and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team. In his current role, Felipe is responsible for execution of partnering and acquisition strategies, as well as the company’s legal affairs. Mr. Gumucio also serves as the Chief Ethics Officer.
Felipe began his 20-year career at Bell Helicopter as Legal Counsel, and has worked in various leadership roles since joining the company. During his time with Bell Helicopter, he has structured and negotiated transactions in more than 20 countries ranging from aircraft sales to large international programs to acquisitions.
In 2013, Felipe was named a finalist in the American Association of Corporate Counsel’s annual Outstanding General Counsel Awards for a large Legal organization. He is instrumental in the Fort Worth community and has served as a board member and board chair for the Texas Chapter of March of Dimes.
Felipe earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota. In addition, he has completed executive studies at Thunderbird University, the SMU Cox School of Business, the Wharton School of Business, Duke University and is a Textron-certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
