Danny Lee was named Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for Bell in January 2019 and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team. In this role, he is responsible for providing legal and business advice on complex transactions and overseeing Bell’s compliance, intellectual property and litigation programs.
Danny returned to Bell after serving as a senior vice president and general counsel for Textron Systems, where he led legal initiatives for talent development, risk reduction and compliance matters from 2013 to 2018. He managed a highly skilled legal team responsible for multiple business divisions, domestic and international.
From 2005 to 2012, Danny served as deputy general counsel, government and trade compliance for Bell Helicopter, where he supported the V-22, foreign military sales and key commercial negotiations. He also provided legal counsel on all aspects of government contracting, managed contract litigation and claims throughout the United States, and led the company’s compliance function.
He previously served as a litigation associate for Gardere, Wynne Sewell in Dallas, and as a U.S. Army judge advocate at Fort Hood, Texas, and the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command in Huntsville, Alabama.
Danny earned a juris doctor degree for the University of Oklahoma College of Law and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Abilene Christian University.
