Proven Platform with Military Lineage

The Bell 407GXi: Proven. Trusted. Advanced.

Two military helicopters fly over a dry, mountainous landscape, surrounded by sparse vegetation.

Proven Platform for Your Missions

Bell maintains a long-standing relationship with Chile in providing world-class helicopters and industry-leading support. It would be an honor to continue supporting The Chilean Air Force’s missions.

It is certainly a multi-role helicopter but from a pilot's perspective it's a very capable ship. It's very fast it has plenty of power.

Proven Platform for Your Missions

The latest Bell 407GXi platform showcases Bell’s commitment to safety displayed in the overarching design philosophy that Bell incorporates into its products design and manufacturing process. Bell understands the need for large safety margins that begin with each aircraft component design. That is why bell aircraft have a reputation for high quality components with proven field reliability. And why the Bell single-engine helicopters have demonstrated some of the highest operational readiness rate of any other rotary wing airframe in the US military inventory.

Battlefield Tested

The 407 design benefits from Bell’s long history of designing, building, and supporting military helicopters for different US military branches. For example, the Bell 407GXi Transmission system is derived from the popular Bell OH-58D Kiowa Warrior Helicopter flown by the United States Army. Its 4-bladed main rotor system, its intuitive cockpit, and responsive controls, provide an extremely high level of maneuverability and stability that make the 407 a superior platform from the piloting perspective.

Advanced Capabilities

The M250-C47E/4 engine with Dual Channel FADEC is equipped with redundant sensors and has a manual back up mode which provides the pilot direct control of engine power via the throttle on the collective. The Dual Channel FADEC reverts directly to manual mode for any FADEC system critical fault, including complete loss of electrical power.
