Our state-of-the-art facility occupies 100,000 square feet of classroom, lab, and hangar space. We'll help your pilots master flight on our Bell-owned aircraft and certified FFS and FTD simulators. We'll prepare your technicians for any maintenance case on our production representative maintenance training devices. Come experience our world-class instructors and Texas hospitality.

Our airfield
Named in honor of our most notable pilot, the Floyd Carlson Airfield opened on July 9, 2018. For over 40 years, Floyd Carlson flew every first flight of a Bell aircraft. A true pioneer, Carlson’s legacy represents the passion and dedication of our people.
The airfield offers a raised landing platform and runways for training critical emergency landing maneuvers – a world-recognized differentiator of Bell’s customer training experience.

Class Hours: 08:00 am - 04:00 pm (Monday-Friday); Flight schedules, including NVG flights, may vary outside these hours.
Training Materials: All supplies, training materials, and tools required for training are furnished by the training academy. Training materials are provided to the customer on the first day of class.
Security Regulations: Your passport and US Visa (if required for entry into US) or your US ID is required to enter our facility. All hand-carried items are subject to inspection by the security guard. An identification badge is issued on the first day of class and must be worn at all times while at our facility. Please do not enter any other Bell facilities without permission. Please refrain from taking photographs or videos.
Dress Code: Casual clothing such as jeans are acceptable. Tank tops and shorts are not permitted. For your safety, please be advised that only covered shoes are allowed.
Lunch Break: We provide complimentary lunch, coffee and tea, and hotel sponsored snack breaks. Vending machines with soft drinks, candy, and snacks are located in our cafeteria equipped with a microwave oven and refrigerator. Numerous fast food and full-service restaurants are also located nearby.
Travel: We are located approximately 20 minutes from DFW Airport and recommend that departing airline reservations are made for flights after 6:00 pm on your last day of class.
Translation Services: Please arrange for any required translator services. For security reasons, please email us your translator's information,including their name and nationality, at least one week before your class start date.
Inspectors: Please arrange for any additional inspector/auditor services required for your regulatory training. For security reasons, please email us your guests' information, including their name and nationality, at least one week before your class start date.
Visitors: As a defense contractor installation, visits by guests or family members (including young children) are restricted by the Bell Security Department. Prior authorization must be obtained for visits by family members.
