The Many Missions of the Delaware State Police Aviation Section

The Delaware State Police has used Bell helicopters for more than 20 years, progressing from the Bell 206 and 206L to the Bell 407 and now the Bell 429.

The Bell 429's four-axis autopilot provides a valuable aid to safety, particularly during night operations and instrument meteorological conditions. It reduces workload and helps prevent spatial disorientation.

The aircraft can be configured for medical transport with a stretcher, movable seats, monitoring equipment, a portable ventilator, suction, oxygen and trauma supplies. The unit can take two patients after landing.
