The ordnance mounting system is a proven, flexible, precision-engineered weapon system in a low maintenance design with quick disconnect features to enable easy installation and removal of various mission kits such as external auxiliary fuel cells, target spotting laser and mounts, external personnel carriers and weapons mounts. The modularity of the OMS - integrated with high-capacity ammunition magazines - allows for two to four configurable guided and unguided weapons stations and provides an optional sixth station endcap missile mount.

A customizable tool created from tactical and special operations experience, the MMS enables easy user navigation and seamless command and control of mission execution. The intuitive interface and advanced system enhance operational efficiency while reducing pilot workload. Target locations and ranges can be passed from the MMS to an optional digital WMS. Launch Acceptable Regions (LAR) or Weapons Engagement Zones (WEZ) can be displayed on the moving map.
The Bell 407M can accommodate a wide range of armament, ranging from 7.62 mm machine guns/gun pods, .50 caliber machine guns/gun pods and 2.75 inch rockets/rocket pods plus the precision-guided Advanced Precision Kill Weapon Systems (APKWS), Griffin and HELLFIRE missiles.
