Life Flight Network’s crews operate across the Pacific Northwest, where islands, mountains, coastal fog and rapidly changing weather make access difficult. A mixed fleet of Bell 429s and Bell 407s helps crews reach remote patients, fly IFR routes and deliver mobile critical care when roads, bridges and boats cannot.
Life Flight Network answers calls across Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana, including remote islands, peninsulas and mountain communities that can be difficult or impossible to reach by road or boat.
The Bell 407 and Bell 429 extend operational reach in changing weather. IFR-capable aircraft help crews navigate coastal fog, low visibility, mountains, ice and snow while delivering patients to care much faster than ground transport.
For the crews, the work is demanding and rewarding. They operate as a team, keep the aircraft and medical equipment ready, and wait for the call to bring care to patients who need access.
